Islamabad 'pub' glitters with revelry - Kashar News

In the posh F-8/4 sector of the capital, Islamabad, a ‘pub’ is rattling with sweetheart dances, hugs and kisses besides serene exotic drinks and takeaway business -- suggesting a marvelous change in the town’s ho-hum environment. Set up at House No. 1, Street No. 48, the facility is owned by a French national, Hue Joel Jean Luc and a Chinese woman Qin Ami. "This is only for foreigners," said Hue who hardly agreed to permit this news agency enter the club and explain his venture. But his claim faltered when an apparently boozy Pakistani woman shakily walked down the stairs from bar and three youngsters, one girl and two boys, began kissing as they stepped in.

An interesting development. I wonder how long it takes the Wahabis to do something about it. Or do you think Islamabad's relatively safe from such things?

I've heard there's a bar in the Thai Embassy. Always wanted to go, but keep forgetting to find out each time I visit Pakistan.
